2008 Puget Sound Women's Enrichment Weekend

The 2008 Women's Enrichment Weekend for the Puget Sound area was held March 21-23 in LaConner, Washington. Our special guests for the weekend were Victor and Beverly Kubik (pictured below, left). Victor Kubik, UCG council member and founder of LifeNets, gave the sermon on the Sabbath. His message, entitled "Valor, Faith, and a Pearl of Great Price: My Mother's Journey" is available to listen to under the Presentations menu for the Puget Sound Weekends. Bev Kubik's presentation, "Do You Have Children?" is available in text format, along with the other presentations given over the weekend.

Pictured above, right, are the completed blankets for our Saturday evening group service project. 71 blankets were donated to Project Linus.

"What a blessing this is to our Project Linus chapter! 71 blankets is an overwhelming number to complete, and they are so needed by the numbers of children we try to reach. These blankets will be divided among Harborview Pediatrics Burn/Plastics center, Swedish Pediatrics unit, and Children's Hospital. Some might even make it to the future Camp Korey. Please express a huge Thank You to everyone for sharing their love with the Children."
